Our little hidden gem of relaxation is overlooking Mc Swyne's Bay. Here you can enjoy the scenery of the Atlantic and the foothills of Slieve League mountains. On the shore, the ruins of Mc Swyne's castle stand, a reminder of the Murray family from centuries past. Out of that history comes our name "Castle Murray House Hotel & Restaurant".
For the lovers of Castle Murray we are proud to serve French cuisine with and Irish touch. We are famous for our seafood which is locally caught almost all year round. Our house special "Prawns & Monkfish in Garlic Butter" to taste, this delight you must come join us here. Our lobster tank where you can select your very own lobster is a thrill for young and old alike. We have just been awarded the BIM 2007 for our exquisite seafood. Also we have a very warm welcome for vegetarian and vegans. If any of you has a sweet tooth I can say all desserts are homemade including ice cream and sorbet.
But the one to die for is our warm chocolate cake once again you have to taste it. Our head chef has been working with us now for 14 years and I think that stands for consistency throughout.
When you decide to stay with us you can choose from 10 individually themed bedrooms inspired by the continents of Asia, Africa and Europe. All our bedrooms are en-suite and furnished to a high modern standard.
To complete a memorable stay in Castle Murray we send you off with a breakfast fit for a king. The first cup of coffee or tea is served with a stunning sea view of coastal Donegal.
